Everything Printed and ready for hand in, just the little niggley things that were holding me back but sorted and ready to present. All that is left is to burn one disc as my mac has officially left the building!

Second Video

with the success of the first single music video and the overwhelming feedback received, I have been asked by Gung Ho to produce the second music video for The Rialto Burns in July but this time it will be paid. So its another great heading on the CV.

Cover for CD

Both album and single covers are chosen and put through for print production this week along with the inlay booklet, that will sit within the album case. The covers are a reflection on the bands personality and image, with also a sense of feeling based on the music they create. Both follow a singular method and theme that will be carried out throughout the entirety of the album singles.

Video To Television

I have spent the last week making sure the format of my music video is correct for broadcasting worldwide. I have also taking the vid file to Fastrax a music video distributer and aided them in formatting the vid and now the whole video is ready for MTV within the next week and when the single is released on June 7th.

Twin Magazine

Fashion Film - Documenting an all day Photography fashion shoot. This is shot in HD and will be edited in Final Cut, the output will be 1080p. It will also be readied for TV for show.

Fashion Prints - Still imagery from the day printed on large scale. There is a further possibility of producing a book from these images.

Gung Ho Recordings

Music Video - Shot in HD and edited in Final Cut, reviewed and broadcasted in 1080 X 1920, 16:9 aspect ratio, it will be TV ready to be shown on the plasma's in the show. Already online.

Album Covers - 138X118 mm Printed and made outcome - Album Cover and First single covers.

Inlay Booklets - The Album cover and single covers will contain printed booklets containing photography and artwork, which represents the band. the booklets will be 12 page 242X120mm booklets.

Album Art - Singles and album artwork will be used for broadcasting for internet download.

EPK - Shot in HD and edited in Final Cut, compressed to 1920X1080 and 16:9 aspect ratio ready for tvs in the show.

Music Video for download - Set up a macbook for students to download the music video to ipod/iphone in HD.

Single - Radiate and Album cover - The rialto burns

Now I am finalizing the designs for the first single cover (Radiate) and self titled album cover I have designed over 60 covers and the promoters and band have narrowed down the ones the want taking reference from vintage labels and authentic design. The design will consist of having a border and grain effect as requested by band, it will also have al information required by gung-ho.

The rialto burns to radio

The first thing first! now that I had shot the band, they needed to be plugged to radio so this can be done in a standard manor with a blank disc to the radio plugger, however Matt (boss - Gung ho) decided that the disc had be be jazzed up so he gave a couple of hours to just put a small collage together as a single cover front and back just so the disc had individuality and a sense of object. I produced the cover and sent it over then found some images from the guys of the printed product, i believe they were only shot on a phone so the quality isnt amazing.

The smashed the concert in Liverpool, and were more than helpful when it came to shooting scenes for the music video. These are some of the photos from my time in Liverpool meeting and working with the band and Gung-Ho.

I'm heading to liverpool tomorrow with Gung Ho to shoot footage at the bands GIG and then on saturday I am directing the music video set, I will be shooting on different locations including their studio, concert and a few locations around liverpool I will also be conducting the photo-shoot, which will help build up the look book and promo posters.

Twin - Alexander Mcqueen fashion film

My first fashion film documenting the Alexander Mcqueen shoot is finalized and edited, Becky Smith has seen it and is thoroughly happy, just waiting for the website to be updated in mid April and then it will be put online, I will be continuing on the film as I personally feel it can be improved slightly.

Twin Shoot Alexander Mcqueen

These images were shot on the 8/3/2010, and it was a fashion shoot which capture the last dresses designed by Alexander Mcqueen before his tragic death. The photographer was Scott Trindle working in collaboration with twin fashion stylist, Celestine Cooney. The model 'Robin' was perfect for the dresses with her narrow shoulders and tall straight build, it allowed the natural movement of the fabric to sit beautifullyon her and look incredible on camera. This was a great day, which allowed me to get incredible footage for editing and allowing me to put my stamp on fashion film which is relatively new and not a full strength, however I believe I can change that and find formula to communicate fashion through film effectively.

I have attached some Band Imagery and some Album covers that they are heavily influenced by. The Band play live in Liverpool on 26th March (Friday) so possibly a good filming opportunity for some things?

looking at the way in which the bands darkness can be communicated through the visuals, but in keeping with the genre and the sound. I was looking at examples from The Smiths and Joy Division. To make contemporary taking reference from frank miller a graphic novel filter could be a cool way to go.

Passport photos of band, could be a segment of music video, sectioned in a quadrant grid with each member signing their individual part of song.

I heard the whole song list from the Rialto Burns and they sound very much like a contemporary version of the smiths. Sean who is the assistant of the head o gung ho he has confirmed I am to produce a music video, album art, lookbook, poster, flyers and tour promo. All of these outcomes need to be related so that the band are recognizable from all pieces of design.

Twin shoot

Its looking like the 14th March will be my first shoot with Twin, Content still being confirmed as is final detailing but I will be speaking with the creative director on the 11th March.

Looks like i'll be meeting with Becky this week, as I have been speaking to her this weekend and she has a few film projects coming up, which she will want me to work on. These will be fashion based films I believe and therefore I should be able to get some print based work from the shoots.

Meeting with Gung-Ho recordings

I met with Matt Stuart, founder of Gung-ho, last thursday for a coffee and to discuss the possibility of working for them, producing a film based music video and branding package for an artist under their management. He was not alone, he was with his assistant Sean who seemed very cool. As talks proceeded the enthusiasm from both sides was apparent and Matt and Sean were extremely happy and impressed with my capabilities and my direction of work. They both agreed I was the right person for what they needed, to promote their artist and offered me the work up front. It looks almost certain that I will be producing a music video, album cover, Lookbook, Posters and Personal photography for a Band from Liverpool called 'The Rialto burns' they play indie and alternative rock, and seem very dark almost Joy Division like. Proceedings start next week as we discuss: timelines, Deadlines and meets.
